Jen Rowbury's Roast Marinade

Brown roast

In a separate bowl mix:
1 Tbsp rice vinegar
2-3 Tbsp beef base
2 tsp minced garlic
1 whole onion chopped
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp soy sauce

After browning the roast, put a little marinade under and on top of roast. Cover and cook at 220-250 for about 5 hours.
